Default Cycnoches warscewiczii

I've had this plant for around ten years, and have been happy to get two, or sometimes three flowers. This year it gave me four. They're also bigger than before, just over four and a half inches across. The fragrance is just awesome, something like a spicy lilly of the valley, with a hint of lacquer thinner. I love this orchid!

Fantastic flowers, Kim. Does this species always flower this late in the season for you? Mine only seem to ever bloom between mid September and late October. I agree with you completely on the scent; it's just unbelievably nice. Congratulations.

It's very nice, Kim. It looks very similar to Cyc. chlorochilon.

You hit the fragrance description spot on!

Thanks everyone. Steve, it has bloomed this late for three years now. Last season it had barely dropped its leaves before it started a new growth. It may be confused, but who cares as long as it blooms.

Nice!! It must be a treat to have 4 flowers open at the same time! my plant only gave me 2 flowers this year, but on the up side it bloomed twice to make up for it. LOL.

Gloria, you should get one! The fragrance is amazing, and addictive! I couldn't keep my nose off the flowers..

Ten years?! Good job on that one, Kim!
I once had Cycnoches haagii, a similar species, but was able to keep it only for three or four years. For some reason, suddenly the p-bulbs simply shriveled, dried and died.
