Default Stanhopea intermedia

I have three cultivars of Stan. intermedia and all of them tend to send out
the bloom spike across the top of the growing medium. This plant was
misidentified as Stan. saccata. The fragrance is a strange mix of chocolate
mothballs with undertones of bay leaf.

lol

I'm also intrigued by such a smell! The flowers look great BTW. I don't have this species, but its kind of strange for a Stan to send spikes over the media instead of through it, much less three different varieties!
