That is just awesome Steve! One of my favorite orchids, period. Mine is just starting to spike from one of the biggest growths I've ever had on it. And I agree, the scent is simply wonderful.

Yes, this one's definitely a fantastic species. How long do the blooms on your plant last, Steve? I've read that they're supposedly long lasting; however, the flowers on my plant never last for more than two weeks. Still, it's worth the effort just for the great fragrance alone. Congratulations.

Two weeks for a Cycnoches is not bad at all! Honestly though, I've never really kept track of how long this one lasts. I'll let you know in a few weeks!

I have to get one of these very soon. I must admit these do scare me abit - but I'm gonna try my hand at growing cycnoches.

Good luck! Remember, you have plenty of help on the OB to get you through your first Cycnoches. And hey, if you kill a few, that's ok too. Just be sure to start out with the cheap ones!
