Thankfully this Stanhopea has flowed again...almost exactly 12 months after the first time I saw it in bloom and about a month after noticing spikes coming out the side (see separate thread). But a lot less flowers than last time.
I guess each pseudobulb only flowers once so may be time to break this one up and repot. Shame since it's so big and reliable.
Smells great, but flowers will only last a day or so!!
Carl, my Stanhopeas are hanging under some tress. Have no idea about light levels but during winter they get some direct sun. Even in summer they get some direct early morning sun. Water is pretty heavy in summer but after that just enough to keep them moist...once a week or even less.
Some fertilizer coming through spring and then hope for some warm days to set them off.
This plant is many years old and is out growing the huge hanging basket. Will resist breaking up until someone says it's a necessity.
