Stanhopea...new growth or spikes?

This my Stanhopea ronsard. She was purchased in September, repotted a few months ago, and now has 2 new growths emerging. One growth is coming from the top and one is protruding from the side of the basket. I'm not sure if these are bulb growths or spikes. To me, it seems a little late in the season for her to be growing at all. The temperatures here have been unseasonably warm, so it's possible that she's confused.
