Default Coryhopea Cutucu

I begin a new thread for this beauty: Crths speciosa x Stan florida, by Ecuagenera.
This is its third spike this season, with four flowers! The scent is soft, something like a ripe melon, but more sweet!

Cool one! Looks like some exotic winged gargoyle, especially the second pic.

Such a bizarre cross! I would love to smell it. Do the flowers last any longer as a cross than either of the species?

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately, the flowers last as longer as Stanhopea flowers...

Default I have a Coryhopea of a different cross and just aquired a division of Cutucu

That is very pretty, now I know what I could get from these two that I have, I noticed that they have a drip to a bucket like a Coryanthes? The two I have grow like weeds one has 12 leads this season.

Hi Orchidbyte!

It does not accumulate fluid in a bucket, as a Coryanthes; the drop is because of the rain that has not stopped for these days! I noticed the same as you, it is a very vigorous plant, grows much better than a Coryanthes

Looks like an alien with very large ears! As they say in English "it's a face only a mother could love..."
However, not many Coryhopea hybrids have been made, so congratulations on your floriferous plant.
