I got this plant early this year and here is its first bloom, I like very much the dark red wine color and the hairy lip (very strange for me). The flowers size I can say is quite big for this kind of plants. The fragance is also unussual for me is different to the other mormodes I already have, it smels like burnt caramel with a back ground of tutti frutti. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Oh, God! Oh GOD …..
I’m ready .... I'm fainting …. Here we go …..
Colour, form, those tiny dots at the edges.. oh ….. oh …. It is SOOOOOOO good!
Mine starts growing spike …. It would be really interesting to compare them, especially because it would be first blooming for mine and I have no idea how it’ll look like.
Bruno, is yours from Sunset Valley Orchids?

Thank you very much Gena, yes you are right would be interesting to know any change in coloration and form, actually when I bought it from sun set valley I did not know what kind of plant I was acquiring, and now looking the result I can tell you that I am very happy with it. I sent the picture to Fred Clarke suggesting him to include it in his web page as a reference for future buyers.

Same here, Bruno! One thing I was thinking about was Mormodes sinuata - usually hybrids with Mormodes sinuata are quite interesting. And yours confirm that!
