I'll stick with the Kelthane, and may try the horticultural oil on a couple of "guinea pigs" just to see what it will do. If all else fails, I'll resort to manually wiping the leaves down with warm soapy water mixed with some mild bug killer on a cotton swab. I have so few plants (less than a couple dozen of the Catasetinae tribe members) that I don't think it would be too much of a pain to do this once a week during the growing season to keep the mite population down. Of course, now that our weather's warming up and everything's starting to push out a flush of new growth, I might change my mind after standing out in the hot and humid weather for an hour or so wiping down orchid leaves.
