Default Acineta

They just arrived! Finally my order from Ecuagenera has arrived, and amongst lots of new Stanhopeas (of course), my first two Acinetas: superba and erythroxantha.
I'll try to grow the Acinetas like I do with Stanhopeas, but I'm an open minded man and will accept any tip! Someone has experience with Acinetas? Thanks in advance!

they grow cool to warm, shady, and like a slight dry period in the winter.

I just got Acineta superba today.

Wow, was not familiar with that genera, such a unique orchid. I was reading where they like to be in wooden baskets or grown in moss in a net pot. Is the Acineta you purchased fragrant?

Well, these two are the first ones I bought, but according IOSPE yes they are fragrant!
I iniatilly used clay pots and Stanhopea medium, they aren't BS yet (I assume), next spring I'll repot to wooden baskets. The necessity of dry period is a good tip to me, I'll grow they amongst the Stans that have the same need (Stan wardii, lietzei and others)

My Acineta superba has two spikes coming out. And yes, as Fredmetr indicated they are very fragrant. You'll enjoy this plant.
