Cycnoches loddigesii - Orchid Board

This is my only Cycnoches, and I love it! It is extremely fragrant, and......just look at it! I accidentally broke a petal on one flower, so I may try to cross that one with Ctsm. integerrimum. I can't wait until this plant gets a few bulbs, so it can produce multiple spikes.

That's awsome! I don't grow any of these but they are so cool. Is it difficult?

It sits right next to my Cattleyas (along with my Catasetinae). I don't give any of them a real "dormant" period. They get fed and watered once a week during the winter....just like the Cattleyas. Catasetum Alliance plants may need a dormant period in places that have a prominent winter, but I don't have these....only short 3-4 day cold fronts, then it's back to the 80's. So I don't believe these need dormancy, like their wild ancestors. And to prove it...my Ctsm. macrocarpum has 4 spikes, with a new one starting, and my Ctsm. integerrimum has 4 spikes also. Usually, they will keep producing them, back to back. Last year, they started with 2 spikes each, and ended up producing 5 spikes each (overall). This year, they are both starting with 4 spikes each....so I'm hopin' to see 10-20 spikes between them, optimistically of course.

I'll post pics of the macrocarpum, it has started opening.

So no, it's not difficult...

This one of my favorites too, actually at this moment I have two plants with around 15 flowers each, the fragance is outstanding resembling to tutti fruti candies. Yo should have multiple spikes from just one bulb in a strong plant. I forgot to say yours is beautiful.

Do you have a macrocarpum with four spikes coming out from one pseudobulb at the same time (first time in my life to see something like this) or four pseudobulbs with a blooming spike each.

It's actually two spikes per p-bulb.
