I love the spots on this one! As for the winter rot, do not let a drop of water touch it until the new growth has roots a few inches long. Then dump as much water as it can handle all summer long!

Thanks for lookin, everyone!
isurus - what's weird is that I dusted with sulfur and just left them without any water at all...but they all rotted from the inside out...like, they turned mushy. I wonder if it's because it was too cold or something

Did all the bulbs do that, or just the old ones? This family will 'consume' the old bulbs. They turn a light brown, get mushy and shrivel up. The plant is using the stored energy when this happens.

Steve
I think the older ones shrivelled...but they only had one bulb...some had little green sprouts, but those dried up before they could grow roots. This was the most robust one, and had multiple old fat bulbs...none of which rotted...strange
