Bruno, yes, it is fragrant, but fragrance is not very powerful at least not when compared with such species as, for example, Mormodes maculata. They are standing very close to each other on a windowsill and Mormodes fills up with its aroma whole living room, meanwhile fragrance of Cycnoches schmidtianum is completely unnoticeable.

Steve, Cycnoches schmidtianum was described in Orchids 70: 748 in 2001 by Christenson & G.F.Carr for the first time, if I remember correctly.
