I usually get more spikes than just one, but I'll deal with it
I love the smell of this one...reminds me of pineapple (My favorite fruit!)

This is a classic Gongora species that I really need to get. Yours looks great too.

Thanks Steve. I have 2 of these, but the other isn't looking even close to doing any blooming any time soon!

Beautiful gongora Laura!! I have been growing a Gongora tricolor Jan. 09. It was doing great until we had cool days in 60s and the plants had just been watered. growing in sphag moss & med fir bark. Has a nice new growth, but I lost alot of leaves. only water when dry. Repot? using more heaters & fans. Help Pam

Pamela,
If you are trying to dry out your Gongora, thats probably the reason it dropped its leaves. These guys like to be fairly moist, like a Phalaenopsis.
