No, not really. It depends on particular specie. But most of them prefer warm or intermediate range of temperatures, which, I think, suits perfect for indoors culture. This range of temperatures can be easily provided at your home. All radiators at my home do have regulators and I can easily change temperature or create lower temperatures at nights according my wish. For this reason curtains help as well to make a desired “microclimate” on your windowsill.
