Bruno!!!! These two seedpods are your fault!!!

What shall I do with them? I never grow orchids from the seeds …. I’m in panic! I mean, I am already in panic, long time in advance!

wow... what did you cross it with? I would definitely try to grow those seeds... since this would be your first time, I would suggest to try growing them yourself, but also sending some seeds to someone with experience or to a professional growers (just in case )

Good job Gena, don't be in panic (jejeje), happened also to me. It is a really good experience, specially checking week by week the seed germination and then the seedling growth. If I am not wrong those pods would be ready in march-april next year. You have plenty of time to get familiar with all the requirements for planting the seeds. I would suggest to have a look in to this page: Lotte & Thomas Orchids. You may possibly already know about it, if not take a look at it is very good. By the way what is (or are) the cross??.

I told Gena that few people have used maculatum for hybridization and strobgly suggest him not to loose the opportunity. If the two pods are the same cross, I also suggest to send one to a professional grower, but in any case in vitro germination is not really difficult it only needs to learn some tricks in handling the bottles and puting the seeds in it of course in sterile conditions. First time is always difficult, I am opened to explain a few things I learned through time doing this job (hobby), so when Gena is ready I would tell him a few ideas.

Thank you guys!
Bruno, I will really appreciate any tips. I’m familiar with the theory but theory and practice can be different …. There is no problem for me with sterile environment – I can do it in our laboratories …. so …. to tell the truth it is quite exciting.
Ramón, about seedlings (in case I will get some) – deal! You do not think that I will keep all of them for myself? I have no room for them!
By the way, do you know any company in Europe, who can do it? I mean to grow orchids from the seeds. I’ve been in contact with one Belgian company and they did such job, but not any longer.
And OK, OK … I’ve been quiet long enough about father …. It will be a Catanoches (if it will be!) …. And the father is …. Father is …..
