This is not a Cycnoches; this is Polycycnis aurita! And this is the first record of pollination in this species. If it ever flowers again, it would be good to catch the bee (it is a male Eulaema, and does not have a stinger), and send the bee specimen to the Catolica in Quito... I can't remember his name, but there is an Italian entomologist there who works on euglossine bees and could identify it. It would be a great contribution to our knowledge of pollination of Polycycnis and related genera.
