Nice shots, but what cycnoches specie is that ???. very strange shape and to me is not a pentadactylon. I have also those euglossae bees and before flowers open I always bring the plant inside at home to keep flowers away from bees and they last longer

This is not a Cycnoches; this is Polycycnis aurita! And this is the first record of pollination in this species. If it ever flowers again, it would be good to catch the bee (it is a male Eulaema, and does not have a stinger), and send the bee specimen to the Catolica in Quito... I can't remember his name, but there is an Italian entomologist there who works on euglossine bees and could identify it. It would be a great contribution to our knowledge of pollination of Polycycnis and related genera.

Best,
Mark
