Default Catasetum tenebrosum

Catasetum tenebrosum has been one of my favorite orchids but I do not have any plant of this species.
The photos of these blooms above were taken in a local nursery and there are many nice plants of this species.

That's awesome! I had a spike this spring but the darn slugs ate my spike. Its been war ever since!

The species is nicknamed batman orchid here in Taiwan because of its bet-like blooms.

Awesome! Steve, I feel your pain....mine, too, was in spike, and it got broke off. It didn't bloom last year because it was recovering from crown rot that killed all but one p-bulb. It's better now, but the spike is gone....hopin' it will try again! Beautiful pics, Pheli!
