Catasetum (or did it get renamed?) Rebecca Northen (pink) flowering
So, what I though was two growths, was indeed two flower shoots. They just opened the other day and seem to be pretty fully open now. The scent is just fantastic, a bit lemony with a hint of fresh ginger in there. I thought I remembered it being a bit like cinnamon, but I guess that was way off! Anyway, enjoy! I have really struggled with this guy, so hopefully he is starting to like me now.

Oh Jenn! She's so beautiful...I could just cry
Out of all the chids I've helped in their journey to orchid heaven, the loss of my Rebecca is the one that I really miss most
Thanks for sharing

Jenn,
That's a very nice one! I have one a bit larger (had it for years now), and it's one of my favorites.

Thanks everyone.
Sue, I understand how you must feel. I have really battled with this one this summer, and nearly lost it. One day when it is actually big enough to divide (since it is only 2 little pbulbs now) I would be happy to give you a division.
Does anyone know if this is the proper name? I thought someone said "they" renamed it?

That's a lovely offer, Jenn
You just concentrate on keeping her happy...I'll find one someday
She is now known as:
Clowesia Rebecca Northen
(Clowesia Grace Dunn* x Clowesia rosea)
*Clowesia Grace Dunn (Clowesia warczewitzii x Clowesia rosea)

Thanks for clearing that up for me Sue. If you don't find one, just keep me in mind. You have lots of lovely plants I would be willing to trade for in the future.

very nice little plant... it is known (since quite a few years) as Clowesia Rebecca Northen.... All "Catasetum" with hermafrodite flowers were transferred to Clowesia...
