Its that time of the year again: The time when the candycane pterodactyls fly again! This year I have 1 spike in bloom with 4+ more coming soon! Whoohoo! Hopefully this time I can have it in bloom when the society meeting happens. Anyway, this plant is EXTREMELY fast growing and seems to double in size each year that Ive had it (this will be the 3rd year) and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting into Gongoras and related. Enjoy!

WOW! This one is just fantastic. Now I just have to find one. I have been wanting to get into these for awhile and this may be the perfect start...

This is a gorgeous one, Steve! Love the contrast between the white and the red barring/spotting. Beautiful!

I got mine at Tropical Orchid Farm. I know its not on the list but I have to say that there is a good chance that they still have some. I have to say that TOF has the biggest 'stash' of 'chids that are not on the list than any other nursery Ive every seen. Cool stuff too!!
