Cyc peruviana needs help

I received this plant from Ecuagenera today. Nice plant, with 2 p-bulbs and a spike! The problem is, after its lengthy trouble wrapped in sphag, and with newspaper, the base of both p-bulbs is starting to rot! I have just sprinkled cinnamon around the base in hope to stop the rot and save the flower spike, but is that enough? What should I do?
