Wow, that soo weird! It like the flower is bashful and is holding up a towel! Im curious, how did you get your Stan to bloom so early in the year? Spring has barely sprung and yet you've already got summer flowers! Congrats!

That's really very pretty.
I must admit, I did not know that stanhopeas took that long from seedling to bloom. I have a seedling, but, my gosh, I have to possibly wait that long for a bloom?

Last summer here in Michigan the temperatures were cooler than normal. It seems to have caused all my stanhopeas to bloom much later than they usually do. I have had them blooming all the way into this March. Stan. connata was blooming in December and again last week. Cooler temps have also allowed the flowers to last as long as a week instead of only three days.
The fragrance of this peloric stan. is very simular to that of stan. wardii.
Stan. Quirky Queen is [ wardii 'Dozen' X ( connata X tigrina)]
