Default Stanhopea oculata

Here is the beginning of flowering this year. My huge oculata has three or four spikes in each side of the basket (a square with 50cm side).
Stan oculata is not only my favourite Stan; this plant particulary is my favourite amongst all my orchids.
I intend to update this post w new pics!

Wow!! That is huge!! One of my local growers has 3 or 4 oculatas this size and they are absolutely spectacular!! The scent from them is truly over powering (in a good way)!!

Yes, Tindo! As Steve said, the fragance is over powering, mainly when lots of buds are opened at same time! The sweet vanilla/chocolate fragrance is amazing!

This is outstanding, wish I had the room. With all the help you and Steve have given me with my new wardii, if all goes well, I may have to find the room somewhere, somehow for one like this.....not that mine would even look 1/10th as nice as yours.
