Actually the pots was done by Erin Bonsai Online for a Cymbidium, and is used provisionally only as support for this Catasetum... The Cymbidium will be re-potted later on...

Thanks, Matt! Catasetum are really fascinating orchids... and Ctsm. pileatum is considered as "the King of Catasetum"

SPECTACULAR RAMON.... WELL DONE!!!! I love that beautifull colors... I have one Catasetum but its NOID... CATASETUM plants are from hot???

Hi Beto, actually most Catasetum are from hot climates (and it is advisable to grow warm/higher range of intermediate for most plants), however some species (e.g. Catsm. cernum) are used to cooler temps...

Nikon D80 planning to update soon to Nikon D300 (but this decision needs more discussions with my pilow... and my bank account )

and thanks for the compliment... I think I still need a lot of improvement with my pictures..

Well, RAmon, I got two of these: one is a cross of two album varieties and the other is imperialis with something else. Let's see what comes out!
