Thanks, didn't think there would much problem, though I had a vendor at an orchid once tell me that Stanhopeas prefer wide, shallow baskets.

That is a good suggestion by Steve to visit Bush Orchids. I have a Lydia Bush from them (nigroviolacea x grandiflora), and it's a large, healthy plant - waiting to see it flower. The site is filled with excellent info. too and folks are very nice!
