Trying my hand at posting a photo. Purchased at a box store last year. It lived through the Florida summer and gave me a bloom. It is in a wood basket, the media is diatomite.

It looks the species Zygopetalum mackayii, which means it should have a very nice fragrance. It also looks like you have done very well with it. I tried for two years to grow zygos in San Antonio, but could never keep them alive long-term, much less get a flower. Congratulations!

I agree with the previous posters - pretty flower. Sometimes the nicest plants can be found in the big-box stores. I once found a generic white Phal with 7-8 spikes for like $20 US! Lost it to a hail storm.

I saw your 'Conway's Choice' on the other thread about specific bloomers and it is indeed lovely too. The sun is hitting mine now which is indoors to enjoy and it smells so nice.
