Clowesia rosea & Clowesia warcscewiczii - Orchid Board

Both of these are now flowering. Easy to grow and bloom, but they're not all that easy to find. I might try to self them when they get a bit older (especially the rosea), but for now I'm just going to enjoy the blooms.

The individual flowers on both of these species are about two centimeters in diameter. Clowesia rosea's flowers (the pink ones) are very fragrant of cinnamon and citrus, while Clowesia warcscewiczii's (and I might be spelling this one's name incorrectly) are fragrant of ginger and lemon (hard to accurately describe, but they smell fantastic).

I lost my Ctsm Rebecca Northen last year and have not been able to find it...nor have I found Clowesia rosea

I just LOVE the fragrance Rebecca had...yummy!

Both fllowers are really beautiful but i love the form and coloring on the last one.

I do love the look of the Clowesias! They certainly are hard to find though. I think if you selfed your plant you could probably unload the seeds or seedlings pretty quick!

Off Topic: Is it me the only one who cannot open the pictures in this thread? when I click on them, they open but close again in less than half a second! I think it probably has to do with the software.... (just in case this help: I use Mac)

I have a Mac also, Ramon, and the pictures open and close in the same way you described when I attempt to open them on my computer (same thing happened when I tried to open a couple of pictures in another post too). I know they were upgrading the software on the site yesterday. Hopefully it's just a minor glitch that will be corrected.

Clowesias are so cool! I like Catasetinae... but I have only two in my collection. I may have to get a few more! Nice ones, STeve!!

Well I don't seem to be having any problems and I have a mac as well! The pictures open and look like they closed and then the picture pops up if that makes any sense! Ramon keep trying...these pictures are gorgeous when in full size and you don't want to miss them!

nope... not working... I tried again... maybe Martin should have a look on this...

it used to work until yesterday, before the software upgrade!
