Default Catasetum cernuum

Flowered this one recently, spike is over 3 feet long with 42 flowers (according to Holst its maximum length is supposed to be 18 inchs( and a good dark clone at that)

What an unusual flower! Looks alien

so, I see 3 sepals ... and are the petals fused with the lip?

The petals tuck themselves under the dorsal sepal and, sit naturally in that position.

I grow it in a Bark & Large Perlite mix,in an 8 inch pot!
Plant growth is typical Catasetum 7 bulbs(about 10 inches tall)with one new lead, spike originating from the base of new lead

Very nice growing! I like how Catasetum shoots pollen... scares the bajeesus out of everyone unfmailiar with the genus...
