Hello again,
I don't give watering rest to my c. fimbriatum because they are mounted or in baskets, they need a little bit more humidity so they don't dehydrate too much. I have two adult plants, both are divisions of the same plant. One of them is growing in shade, an the other one in full bright.
I couldn't see any differences between them, the one that is in shade has less flowers but I think this is probably because it has a couple less bulbs.
Another thing I can tell you, is that I could never have female flowers. Now I have several seedlings in blooming size and I hope next I can see their flowers and some female.
This plant is mounted on a stick of a common tree from here, Pithecellobium scalare. Orchids grow well on it, but it is not very durable. Is not a big problem for Catasetums because they naturally grow on descomposed wood, full of leaves and organic matter.
Ronald, I really like this hybrid!! Do you have it's name?
