Beautiful! I don't rest my Catasetums either, and they're in pots. I think they have evolved a little in cultivation, I don't believe they absolutely need the same requirements as in the wild. Mine do just fine.

Hi... Catasetum Fanfair [note spelling] is a hybrid between Ctsm expansum and Ctsm saccatum. [there is no Ctsm fimbriatum in it]. To this time... it has received 5 awards from the AOS [American Orchid Society]... and was made by Jones & Scully [Orchidglade] and registered by Boyer in 1982.
btw... izio116... very beautifully grown and flowered fimbriatum... not to mention superb photography.
