My 4 new Stanhopeas !!!!
everybody !!!! This are my first stanhopeas. Got them in the mail yesterday and just finished repotting them into baskets. For reference the baskets are 10". Got them at Home Depot. They are in the following order:
- Stanhopea tigrina
- Stanhopea jenishiana
- Stanhopea wardii
- Stanhopea occulata

You got stanhopeas species at Home Depot?! The only orchids at any of the Home Depots (or Lowe's) around here are ratty phalaenopsis hybrids with a handful of awful dendrobium phalaenopsis weeds. I'm very jealous right now--but congratulations all the same on your great picks. They're beautiful plants and look quite happy in their new baskets.

Thank you everybody !!!! I'm really looking forward to having this guys grow nice and big for me and more importantly get them to bloom. It will be a year or two but I can wait.

Hi Rolando,
They look nice and healthy and happy in their new containers. .
Good luck with them...this is one genre (amongst many) that I have not tried to grow, although I think that they are very cool plants.
