Hi Hosshead,

nice plant... Ctsm pileatum is my favorite plant at all... 'Oro Verde' is a great clon!

you should also try getting the var. Imperiale (considered as Ctsm. imperiale by many)... also great plants!

Yes.
As I get further into my addiction with this alliance, I find more cultivars to salivate over!
I will have to see if I can find a decent source for the imperiale!!!!

I will be so sad when these flowers end.

well... that's the bad side of Catasetum... the flowers do not last long... if you get 14 days you are lucky

Very nice! I will keep my eyes out for this species, specifically for this clone!

Mind sharing which nursery in Canada has this clone for sale?

I can tell you who had 'Pierre Couret' in Europe I bought the last one they had... after many years looking for taht clone I found it in Italy. There few others who offer imperiale here, and some even say 'Pierre Couret', but when you se the blooms, it is obvious not 'Pierre Couret'

as for Canada... no clue... Fred Clark should have CITES permits next spring... at least that's what he wrote in his e-mail (I want to order some plants from him)

Well, it was not a Canadian nursery.
I got these from Odoms couple years ago.

Thank you Kavanaru for the information about Sunset Valley orchids!

I have two of these Oro Verdes. This is the bestbloom so far and I hope each year just gets better!

that's my problem with them too... but no way to convince them to come to europe... I will try sending them the link to the Europen Orchids Exhibition (next year in Germany)... maybe they think about it
