I spent some time searching every where to find any picture or report regarding this cross which is supposed to have been made around 1969 but I could not find any description or picture of the breeding. I heard that most of the known cycnodes were produced using a Cycnoches as the pod plant, in my case I used the mormodes as a pod plant. If by chance I do have female flowers this year I will make a self crossing to see any variation in flower shape. Now I have to wait and cross my fingers for female flowers.

Well, i think you should wait because the one on the picture is the female flower no? The male flower i usually much more attractive and may have taken on the colour.

Yes, Bruno, you are absolutely right. According RHS there is information about Cycnodes Thomas Krumpe which was registered in 1969 and it is exactly your case. Unfortunately, only thing I could find is a small note about this Cycnodes in orchidjudges.org ( Body ), which namely saying "Cycnodes Thomas Krumpe was registered in 1969 as a cross of Cycnoches chlorochilon and Mormodes buccinator. I was not able to locate either a picture or a description of this cross, but Monnier, who says he has not seen the cross either, speculates that it should be similar to Cynd. Ginger Snap (Monnier 1990, part 3).".
Anyway, your pictures are showing very interesting flowers. And yes, I like them a lot.
I just wish you good luck with further attempt and looking forward to see next flowering.

Thanks Gena for your comments, I have the article you mentioned and that is all the information published regarding this cross. This year the plant is growing fine and I hope to get some females flowers and to use them for others cycnoches crossing. Looking the results of this crossing, what is really clear is that the original yellow color of the mormodes pod parent is not really pure and there is a strong influence of the mormodes genes transmmited into their descendants plants.
