Snow, it's a real monster but i don't know what the flowers smells like because it is a friend's plant and I just paid a visit and took fotos for him.

this is actually a Clowesia, not a catasetum. Both have been separated several years ago, because Clowesia has hermaphroditic flowers.

But I do not know the species/Hybrid. Maybe Clow. rosea, or Clow. Rebecca Northen?

It's bloom is larger than Clowesia rosea and personally I think it may be a cross of it.

Sue, the one you had was Clowesia Rebecca Northen, which is a gorgeous plant... I was not playing in RHS to see its parents (Clowesia Grace Dunn x Clowesia rosea), and found that there is also the Clowenoches Rebecca Northen (Cycnoches chlorochilon x Clowesia rosea)

I could not find pictures of that particular hybrid, but these of Clowenoches NOID Clowenoches - GCS Forum wow... those flowers look more interesting than the Clowesia Rebecca Northen
