For isurus79. The bulbs matured before throwing out the spike. I thought I had a picture showing the entire plant but after reviewing my files, I took pictures of only the inflorescence. The flowers closed up after about a week.

Jasen,
Thanks for the input! I cant wait to see your blooms!

Mel,
I was curious because tenebrosums are supposed to throw their spikes as the bulb is growing, rather than throwing the spike when mature. Your plant gives me hope that I will see blooms from my tenebrosum after all! As I said earlier, my p-bulbs matured several months ago but no spike. I guess I'll wait and see.

Hi Steve. I took a more careful look at my plant. The spike came out from a new bulb and not from the matured back bulbs. I'll take a picture of the flowerless spike for you to see.

Ahhh! The plot thickens! I guess Ill have to wait for next year. Its interesting that you are getting another bulb this late in the season. I have to say though, Ive got 1 Cycnoches and 2 Catasetums sending out new growth as well. Weird season.

For Steve: Here is a photo showing the location of the spike relative to the bulbs. The flowers on the spike have dried up and fallen off. The spike is attached to the green bulb.
