Though I dont own warii in particular, I grow all my Stans in spag. As for how many year till it flowers, I have to ask: how old is it? Most likely, you have around 2-4 years until it blooms.

I have a Stan. wardii, and it's currently in full bloom! It's in a moss-lined basket filled with coco-husk and a little pearlite. I just tried to imitate the mix it was in when I bought it this spring. I guess it's happy. I'll post some photos soon.
