Gin, that is a pretty neat looking flower and the red spots look like they have silver center! Where did they end up on the flower?

I believe the second photo shows the buds fully open...this is not the work of a serious artist!
Gin, I hate to ask: which (in your estimation) is ugly/not so ugly?
It's hard for me to believe that someone (and I think C&H offers the seedlings) crossed a Coryanthes with a Stanhopea - I guess they were hoping for the homeliest offspring imaginable!
Seriously, I love both genera (just not together), but they are definitely those "eye of the beholder" kind of flowers. Spectacularly scented, though.

The second picture is open . I like them because they are diffrent . Here is one Tindo calls the toilet bowl bloom  these take up a lot less room then thier cousins the Stans. Gin |
