Default Gongora truncata

Just started blooming. More spikes on the way. Much better looking plant than it was last year.

Handsome plant and flowers, Scott. Are the flowers on this species fragrant?

yeah hostas are another passion of mine, There are around 300 cultivars in the back yard.

Truncata does have a scent that reminds me of Pineapples. Stronger on warm sunny days, but those have been few and far between up here in MN so far this spring.

Beautiful plant, Scott. Truncata has several color forms (and of course some people believe they are different species), but the one you have is one of the most beautiful, I think. Mine has tan flowers, and are not particularly striking. It is a very persistent bloomer during warm weather, though.
Your plant looks well-tended, too!
Regards - Nancy
