New growths or more flowers on Cl. Rebecca Northen?

I got this Cl. Rebecca Northen ‘Mikkabi’ not long ago—it has since bloomed its little heart out!

Since dropping the flowers, I’ve noticed new growth near the bases of the spikes: do these look like more spikes on the way or could they be this year’s new growths?

New growth. It does its bloom while still dormant (like January/February) and then starts the growth cycle. As with other Catasetinae, you need to wait to water until those new roots are 3 inches or so long - and the leaves will be of similar size. When you walk by the plant and are tempted to reach for the watering can, stick your hands in your pockets. They don't want water yet. Probably another 4-6 weeks. Some of the other Catasetinae can be a bit ambiguous but this one, you can use to set your calendar. Very consistent.

Thank you, Roberta! While I’m pretty excited about the potential for 4 new growths, some of them look like they’ll be growing well above the media: do you think I could just stake the whole thing and let the roots find their way into the media or could I repot the whole thing with the pseudobulb partially buried into the new media?

As for watering, my hands have been trained to my pockets till May

At this point, I'd just let it do its thing. You don't want to disturb new roots that may be under the medium. Time to sit back and watch the show. Don't go by the calendar, go by what the plant is doing. If the new roots and new growths are far enough along before May you might start watering a little sooner. You are in a warm area, it may increase its growth rate beyond the average. (I have some Catasetums that are already there, others that are barely started)

I would put the plant out of the pot and invert it 90 degrees so it's lying down on the media.

Still a few weeks away from potting and watering.

Wouldn't wait to pot... you need to get that done before the roots have developed. (If you can do that 2-3 weeks ago, even better...) Watering, yes you need to wait, probably 6-8 weeks.
