Hi again,
I purchased this plant earlier this spring and it's blooming! It smells like oranges to my hubby, to me it smells like perfume of some sort, but it's not too strong. There are only two blooms, but I am beyond happy as this is the second Stanhopea that I bought this year...there were many more Stanhopea purchases afterwards, lol.

Thumbs up

Gorgeous. Yes, it is easy to get hooked on the genus. As it gets more mature, you'll get more flowers!

Lovely flowers. Congratulations. The plants do take up a lot of space as they mature. But for me, once those short-lived blooms appear, it makes all of the real estate they require well worth providing--and even though the flowers don't last very long, a big mature plant is often capable of producing a series of spikes that can extend the season considerably (kind of like a stanhopea assembly line of blooms).
