SVO Catasetum list, part II Female
Default SVO Catasetum list, part II

What Catasetum have folks (who have the ability) have been buying from SVO this season? Some interesting hybrids and species added this morning.

I got these:
Cycd. Spotted Hornet (Morm. Exotic Treat 'Orange Leopard' x Cyc. warscewiczii ')

Fdk. Dark Matter (Fdk. After Dark 'Amazing' x Ctsm. Orchidglade 'Jack of Diamonds')

Clo. NEW HYBRID (Cl. Grace Dunn 'Live Oak' HCC/AOS x Ctsm. ivaneae 'Purple Fantasy')

Cyc. cooperi (Cyc. cooperi 'SVO III' FCC/AOS x Cyc. cooperi Mem. Pat Worthington' AM/AOS)

This is my first post! But been a reader for awhile now...

I got 11060, 11173, 11260, 11082, 11057, 11064, and 11088 from the first run; I’m debating on getting more but I’d have to make another relatively substantial purchase to justify the shipping. The 11082 is forming either an inflorescence or a new growth, but time will tell!

Nice! You should have some cool Catasetum blooms coming soon. From the first run almost everything I bought had Clowesia, just love the Mormodia and Clowesetum.

My first bloom from the first batch opened this morning: Galeandra greenwoodiana

If I had the space, I would've grabbed that big, white pileatum. That is going to be insane.

I was also tempted by the Cyc. cooperi and the Cl. rosea, but have resisted the temptation this time.

It's torture. I'm not buying any until I figure out how to exclude pack rats from my growing area. They eat the Catasetinae first.

I shouldn’t, but I did. I have to replace my Ivaneae, it was my favorite so far but I killed it with cool July nights— and all the other species are so tempting. I really want to breed it with other small Catasetinae. I also got a mormodes hybrid, with some trepidation— hope I can keep it alive.

SVO11145 - 3inch Morm. NEW HYBRID (Morm. Nitty-Gritty 'SVO II' x Morm. Jumbo Bacia 'SVO' AM/AOS) : 1 : 20.00
SVO11282 - 3inch Cl. rosea (Cl. rosea 'Andy' x Cl. rosea 'Collected') : 1 : 30.00
SVO11280 - 3inch Ctsm. ivaneae (Ctsm. ivaneae 'Aceitunas Negras' x Ctsm. ivaneae 'Purple Fantasy') : 1 : 30.00
SVO11091 - 3inch Ctsm. tigrinum (Ctsm. tigrinum 'SVO' x Ctsm. tigrinum 'SVO II') : 1 : 30.00
SVO11157 - 3inch Ctsm. denticulatum (Ctsm. denticulatum 'SVO' AM/AOS x Ctsm. denticulatum 'SVO II' AM/AOS) : 1 : 30.00
J163 - 3inch (Sarco. Kulnura Iridessa 'Edge' X Sarco. Kulnura Rage 'Flashy') : 1 : 20.00

Hi! This is my first SVO order so I did a lot of research and wanted to try out each genus and of course an Fdk.

SVO10073 - 3inch Cyc. warscewiczii (Cyc. warscewiczii 'OMG' x self)
SVO11142 - 3inch Ctsm. cirrhaeoides (Ctsm. cirrhaeoides 'Alba 54' x Ctsm. cirrhaeoides 'Green and Yellow')
SVO11146 - 3inch Morm. NEW HYBRID (Morm. Aftermath 'SVO Nuclear Fallout' AM/AOS x Morm. hookeri 'Black Fuzz')
SVO11254 - 3inch Fdk. NEW HYBRID (Mo. Painted Desert 'SVO' HCC/AOS x Ctsm. ivaneae 'Purple Fantasy')
SVO11282 - 3inch Cl. rosea (Cl. rosea 'Andy' x Cl. rosea 'Collected')

My preferences were for compact size and the possibility of fragrance. I chose Cyc. warscewiczii for the banana scent and the shape of the blooms look incredible. Ctsm. cirrhaeoides for being compact and floriferous. And, from what I could find, it has a sweet menthol scent. The Morm. hybrid contains a lot of Morm. hookeri and could be very fragrant. The Fdk. hybrid looks cool, I'm wondering if Fred will name it. I did peek at the second list before it was released by changing the website's URL. It looked like he was going to offer Cl. Rebecca Northen 'Mikabi', but it wasn't listed. That clone is known for it's fragrance and would be a better bet than the remake. Luckily, Cl. rosea was still available from the first list, so I'm hoping it will arrive and be fragrant!

Anybody else pick up the Dimorphorchis rossii 'SVO' x Dimo. lowii 'SVO'? I got two. I have two rossii that have been growing very well for me, and couldn't resist this hybrid. Has this been offered in previous years?

I wanted one, but can’t have everything! Keep us updated i how it grows for you, I am very curious.

I have only been a follower of svo for a couple years, and they haven’t been offered before in my knowledge.
