Please diagnose sick catasetum
Default Please diagnose sick catasetum

Hi folks,

I picked up this just a few weeks ago. Over the last week i noticed some damage / illness on it but am not sure if this is sunburn, a virus, or something else? I would appreciate any input and ideas. Thank you!

When anything goes wrong with Catasetum leaves you must first be sure it's not spider mites. I would treat by spraying all surfaces of the plant with 70% alcohol or insecticidal soap. Use the Search feature in the top maroon menu to read more about mites.

Insufficient water can also cause leaf problems. One in full leaf should stay quite wet and not dry out.
