Growth or Spike?
This little guy just went dormant about a week ago. By dormant I mean lost all of its leaves. Technically it might've been dormant for longer and simply held on to a leaf or two.
I spotted this tiny growth. At first I thought "oh, flower spike" especially being a Fdk. hybrid. But I wonder if it might be a new growth.
Any more experienced eyes feel like chiming in? If it's spike I may hold on repotting, if it's growth I may repot right away...

That's a tough one since it's still small! Looks perfectly in-between the round shape of a spike and the pointed shape of a growth.

while I hope you get a spike, I vote growth. getting kind of late for FDKs to be sending up spikes. most of mine are actually waking up now. evidently CT winters aren't as cold as they used to be...

Hard to figure from timing... for me, Fdk. are late-season (and done) but Clowesia rosea and its hybrids are in bloom now (being very early, or even pre-season) So in this cross, who is dominant? ????
In terms of the potting decision, if it were my plant, I'd leave it alone. There's room for another p-bulb, these don't mind being crowded, if roots get wild you can always just drop it into a larger pot to control them.

New growth. Spikes come out at more of a 90 degree angle.

I agree, in the last 24h it has also gotten more pointy (damn they grow fast).

I think I'm just gonna up-pot it, mostly because of how top heavy they get, I prefer to plant them in aircone pots because of the square shape. But won't be messing with it, just add some medium around it.
