Honestly, there are so few plant ads on that forum that I thought it was forbidden to sell or exchange plants on the forum!
It makes sense not to duplicate, I just thought something with a clear "Plant sales and exchanges" title would instantly clarify that this practice is allowed.
When I read this on the guidelines:

This forum relies on sponsor advertising for its existence. If you would like to advertise your venture, become a sponsor by contacting a moderator or administrator.

I thought it meant any sales had to be approved by a moderator/administrator first and that one had to become a sponsor... but maybe I misunderstood, and this is only meant for established businesses; individuals are allowed to sell or swap some of their plants!

As I understand it, sales are fine in the Classified sub-forum, that is its purpose. Occasionally someone will mention that they have division(s) to sell or trade in one of the other areas, with an invitation to PM the OP. Those usually get snapped up in private communications . But the Classified area is freely available for the purpose, that's where such posts belong.

I did not realize that! That would be great, since ebay charges 13.25% of total sell price, 13.25% of shipping fees you list, and even 13.25% of the sales tax charged (which is not even paid to the seller!)
I'm going to start posting a few small cattleya divisions in the next few weeks.

I think the Classifieds section is out of date and should be renamed something simple like Buy - Sell - Trade.
The heading "Auto Generated Threads by Classified System" is intimidating, misleading, and confusing for new people as well as me, and I've been here for 10 years! What the heck does it even mean? I vote trash it.

Automatically generated threads. The software periodically posts a reminder message that shows up in the New Messages forum.
What if we changed it to Godzilla? Or Speaking in Public?

My order arrived today! They were out of Guarianthe aurantiaca, so Fred replaced it with TWO SVO 9788 C. walkeriana! And added 4 plants for the $30 AOS voucher... a total of $100 worth of extra plants... Gotta love SVO!!!
