Yes, likely too late. Probably not needed, either!

Maybe best to shop this time if year, when I can SEE that I have no space because some of the big ones are already hogging the growing area. If I bought during dormancy when they don't take up so much space, I'd be far more vulnerable.

spitzi is a MUST...nice choice

Don't repot. You can just drop the pot into a bigger one for stability. Don't worry about the wild roots. When you repot in the winter you'll give it a bigger pot.

I bought only the species. I limited my selection. Some of them are very nice super species plants. AND IMO are going to be hard to find if not down right impossible in the near future. Load up on species. You can always get hybrids out of them if you want to play some ya know!!
Went back and bought a bale of sphagnum moss too. Tired of looking for it. A bale should last me for some time.

Just browsing the list, Cl. rosea is sold out. But still tons of stuff available, including 10 different Cycnoches species/hybrids!
If I had the space I would have definitely gotten the Ctsm pileatum with the FCC Snow White parent, what an amazing specimen.

the ones from the last order are already settled down growing new shoots and one has got a tiny spike.
they did real well coming from the socal cooler to the texas toaster.
They are very fast sending them overnight too and that helps a lot.
you cant ask for a better experience than you get with SVO no matter what you order!!
