I am new to these. Thanks to the great info we get here, My plants have done well. Was hard not to water them but its like therapy dealing with the might of my hands and the weakness of my mind
Oooo, Rebecca didnt make it out the gate. She got Tarmac burned over 80% of her leaf and died soon after delivery. RIP Rebecca The Clowesia.
ooo and so much better than the last time I tried these. I just didnt get the "dont water over winter" idea..I understand more and got it now!!
I did have the one plant give me 2 new canes so we are all even.
Plus Mr Clarke gave me some freebies on the next orders I made. We we will replace Rebecca maybe off his next list for Catasetum drop 2023.. Its like an event!!
nice! I just got bitten by the catasetum bug as well. If that is Clo. Rebecca Northen then Southwestern College Greenhouse is selling divisions of the 'Grapefruit Pink' cultivar at reasonable prices. Just ordered one myself.
A few weeks ago I broke the spike on the Jaime Lawson moving my plants around like I do.Its just part of my growing regime is to snap spikes off on occasion to test my patience. Now the plant is Jaime Lawson "Bulletproof". I never would have thought a spike on a catesetum would re emerge from a broken one but mine has come back.Learn something new all the time. I could have asked but it didnt matter after it was broken...
The Galeandra Greenwoodiana has given me a spike this year. Had a spike last year with one flower..Its an improvement this year with 4 buds.
I'm so ready for Fred's Catasetum 2023 release!! And, I'm still kicking myself that I didn't purchase the G. greenwoodiana from last year's list, they have been so beautiful. Ah well, I'll try not to make that mistake again.
Rebecca. I have a tiny plant of the 'Grapefruit Pink' clone and if I divide it in a few years I'm happy to send you a piece.
