I have not. I keep meaning to ping him about having another chat for the channel, so I'll ask him at some point.

I messaged with Fred. He says it has something to do with temperature / humidity / watering timing but he hasn't figured out the exact cause.

Has anyone observed edema in situ?

Shoot, if Fred doesn't know, I feel better about my own ignorance on the topic! lol

My saccatum has edema on the leaves too, so maybe its not a Cycnoches only issue. My humidity is pretty low right now (50%) because my heater is running hotter than usual, but I do water copiously and fertilize a lot. Its constantly soaked in a water tray, and I topped with cut up Jobes plant spikes alongside liquid fertilizer instead of slow release pellets cuz I'm a cheapskate and thats what I had.

You have leaves? I have just the beginnings of new growth. Still early!

Mine have broken dormancy but still nubbins. The cooperi is farthest along but only about 2" tall at this point.

Sorry, I meant in general when they’re full on growing. But, yeah, lots of growth as they’re in the tent. They started waking up about a month and a half ago.
