Default Morm. Hookeri ‘fuzz’ x Morm. Virgin del Valle ‘Dark Horse’

Second season in my care, probably 4 years old. Tried to bloom last season and aborted. Had 2 spikes this year but aborted one. Super cool and a crazy sweet fragrance.

I think I read that Mormodes do better grown in smaller sets of backbulbs and this plant did much better this year with just one back bulb. It had deteriorated down to just one bulb last season and then put out a growth midway up the bulb. As such I cut it out and laid flat on a PET style vessel. Best growth yet. Not sure if it’s the single backbulb or if I just took better care of it. Got the pics figured.

Holy cow it looks amazing. Would love to see (and smell) it in person when it blooms!
