Cycnoches cooperi
Here is Cycnoches cooperi 'SVO' x Cycnoches cooperi 'Mem. Pat Worthington' from SVO. This one seems to be my most reliable bloomer among my catasetinae. The blooms are darker than what's captured and emit a strong smell of rotting fruit.

Well, it's really a great-looking bloom. Both colors and shape are excellent. But the description of it strongly smelling of rotten fruit might take some getting used to. I like what I can see of your set-up also. It looks like there's quite a few catasetinae plants in your collection. Do you grow them under lights throughout the year?

Perhaps "strongly fermented fruit" might be a better term. It reminds me of durian or fermented foods. It's just not my cup of tea!
Thanks, I grow them outdoors Apr-Nov, and indoors Dec-Mar or so. I use metal shelving units (with wheels) from HomeDepot. They're easy to move around and nice to hang orchids as well.
I have a relatively easy time with clowesias and cycnoches but I haven't had much luck with catasetums. I'm slowly replacing all my catasetums at this point.

Great ! My vocabulary is lacking but I'm focused on the pale pink small section above the main attraction. Looks like a flower-on-flower at 12:00. So unusual but I guess the norm for cooperii?!

That's part of the reproductive structure. Neat, yes?

I have a small 1st time budder from the last SVO 2022 list Fred put out this summer.
I have the same plant 2 small canes and one has 4 buds on it. ![Smile](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/smile.gif) ohh we get to compare the flowers more...seems like mine are rather small but the cane is small also and that has a lot to do with the flower no? yes?.
