Mine just bloomed out very similar to the ones above - the true color is hard to pinpoint but very much lives in that dark bronze/mahogany/wine red in backlight. Simply spectacular!


Jeff, I think yours might be the darkest from this cross that I've seen so far. If our ever bloom out male/female, let's cross them!

I've never pollinated an orchid but we'll see! The bloom period for this one is very short. maybe a week

Cycnoches are non-resupinate flowers (meaning the open right side up as opposed to most orchids that actuallly open upside down). For us orchid growers though, it means that these Cycnoches look like they are blooming upside down, and the pink lobes are part of the lip on this orchid
